**********MAJOR CHANGE / PLEASE READ**********

I have decided to not build a full cockpit. I will be switching my design and build efforts to that of a VR sim, utilizing the Oculus Rift. For mor information as to why I have made this decision, please read the above page [VR vs. Full Cockpit]. The cockpit panels I do already have will be available for purchase very soon.

About Me...

I first developed a passion for flying at a very young age. I grew up around aviation and naturally fell in love with it. As a child, I was fascinated by the idea that an airplane is just a machine. It's no different than a dump truck;  just wheels, metal, an engine and fuel. However, these materials can be fashioned together in such a way that can turn it from a basic machine, into a vehicle of freedom, able to defy gravity. I joined Air Force ROTC in college and earned a pilot slot. After graduating college I got my Private Pilot's License and reported to Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) flying the T-37B. However, life stepped in and I decided to leave training before I got my wings. I still had my passion for flying and longed for the A-10's mission. I knew my goal of being a Hog driver would never be realized. So, here I am, still missing the cockpit. Doing what I can to capture as much of the dream as possible.

This Site...

Thank you for visiting my site! I hope that you will find the information here useful in designing and building your own VR DCS A-10C home cockpit. While trying to find information on how to build my own, I discovered that all of the information needed is somewhat sparse and scattered. What I could find, relating to the details, measurements, etc..., are spread around in blogs, forums, websites, etc... My intent with this site is to chronicle my own design/build process and provide as much detailed info as possible to aid you. More of a "one-stop-shop", if you will.

No man journeys alone and I am certainly no exception to this rule. I have gathered a lot of information from other builders. I have no intention of claiming any credit that is not due. So I will try my best to credit the hard work of others as I reference it. If I do happen to miss something, please let me know and I will name those responsible for it. If you see something of yours that you do not want on my site, I will be happy to delete it. I simply want to help other hobbyists, not cause problems.

Not only am I open to friendly support and suggestions, I welcome and encourage it.
